Stranger Things season five premiere briefly crashes Netflix

 


LOS ANGELES – Netflix briefly experienced a server crash on Wednesday as millions of viewers tuned in for the premiere of the highly anticipated final season of sci-fi horror series Stranger Things.

Social media quickly erupted with frustration as fans vented their impatience. One viewer wrote on X, “NETFLIX FIX YOURSELF RIGHT NOW BRO, I’VE BEEN WAITING THREE YEARS,” while another added, “OH MY GOD NETFLIX PLS FIX YOURSELF I WANNA WATCH.”

Earlier, co-creator Ross Duffer of the Duffer Brothers had shared on Instagram Stories that Netflix had increased bandwidth by 30 percent in anticipation of the premiere. Despite these precautions, the sudden influx of viewers briefly overwhelmed the system.
