Pakistan and Türkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral trade, investment, and economic collaboration during a meeting between Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and Türkiye’s Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat on the sidelines of the 41st Session of the COMCEC in Istanbul.
Both sides reviewed the progress of ongoing initiatives under the existing trade framework and discussed new opportunities in industrial, commercial, and investment sectors. The Turkish trade minister expressed his government’s strong interest in expanding economic engagement with Pakistan and said Türkiye would favorably consider Pakistan’s proposals during upcoming trade negotiations.
Minister Jam Kamal Khan briefed his Turkish counterpart on Pakistan’s economic reforms aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and investor confidence under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He emphasised that Pakistan offers significant investment potential for Turkish businesses across diverse sectors.
Dr. Ömer Bolat extended an invitation to Jam Kamal Khan to attend the upcoming Halal Expo in Istanbul on November 25, highlighting the importance of cooperation in halal trade and related industries.
The meeting concluded with both ministers reaffirming their shared resolve to further consolidate the Pakistan–Türkiye partnership, enhance trade and investment opportunities, and strengthen the brotherly ties that underpin their long-standing relationship.
