The Sindh government has declared April 4, 2025, a public holiday to remember Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former prime minister, who passed away 46 years ago.
According to a notice from Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, all government offices in the province will be closed that day. This holiday will also apply to various other organizations that operate under the provincial government.
To honor Bhutto, the PPP will hold a gathering in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on April 4, where party members and supporters from across the country are expected to attend.
Recently, former President Asif Ali Zardari presented Pakistan's highest civilian awards to several distinguished individuals, including Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, in recognition of their contributions to the country. His daughter, Sanam Bhutto, accepted the award on his behalf during a special ceremony attended by notable figures.
