PM announces 100,000 free laptops for students PM says distribution of laptops will cover all four provinces and will be based purely on merit, without any nepotism

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the distribution of 100,000 free laptops among talented students across the country on merit, during an International Youth Day event in Islamabad on Tuesday. Premier stated that the distribution of these laptops will cover all four provinces, the federal capital Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir, and will be based purely on merit, without any nepotism. He added that these laptops would be separate from the scheme for laptops through interest-based loans. Referring to Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, the prime minister mentioned that Pakistan’s victory on May 10 against a numerically larger and more boastful enemy had instilled a new vigour in the entire nation. Virat Kohli Puts India in the Winner's Circle as Pakistan Falls Short in Champions Trophy Encounter

India beat Pakistan by six wickets in a lopsided encounter in the Champions Trophy match at the Dubai International Stadium. The game was as much about the age-old rivalry between the two cricketing powers as it was about Virat Kohli's masterful show. Kohli made a majestic century, strengthening his position as one of the greats of the game even further, as Pakistan could not get going, eventually being eliminated from the competition.

Pakistan's batting order collapsed under pressure, with the team only able to score a total of 241 runs. Important players such as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were unable to make important contributions, leaving the team exposed. The Pakistani batsmen were found wanting against India's tight bowling attack, which was led by Hardik Pandya. Pandya's outstanding bowling not only picked up important wickets but also kept the run rate in check, leaving Pakistan on the back foot right from the beginning.

The Indian team, however, looked confident and composed in their innings. Kohli, in fact, excelled in the high-pressure environment, scoring his century with some classy shots that were a treat for the Indian masses. His impeccable exhibition of batting not only stabilized the innings but also gave the needed impetus to race towards the target with ease. Kohli's innings was an exhibition of his experience and ability, adding to his image as a match-winner.

India's win wasn't just down to individual excellence; it pointed to the enormous difference in terms of quality between the two teams. India had shown that it could take the pressure and cash in on opportunities, whereas the Pakistani players went wrong at decisive moments. The game laid bare the imperative of self-introspection within the Pakistani team since they were asked questions about their technique, physical fitness, and game awareness as a whole.

The defeat was also a defining moment in the current Champions Trophy, virtually ending Pakistan's hopes of winning the title. The team will look back at their performance, and fans and analysts will look at missed chances and crucial wickets as turning points that sabotaged their quest. The result has sparked renewed debate on the future of cricket in Pakistan and how to rebuild and consolidate the national team.

Overall, the game was a reminder of India's supremacy in today's cricketing world, especially against their greatest rivals. With this win, India not only moved a step closer to the semi-finals but also reconfirmed their title as one of the top teams in the tournament. As the Champions Trophy continues, everybody's eyes will be on Kohli and the Indian team to observe whether they are able to continue their winning spree and eventually lift the championship.
