The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to celebrate Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a grand event in Dubai on August 11, 2024. The celebration will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, attracting around 10,000 attendees, including diplomats, prominent figures from the Pakistani community, and UAE officials, including Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.
The event is being organized by the “Emirates Loves Pakistan” initiative in collaboration with the Pakistan Association Dubai, Dubai Police, and Dubai World Trade Centre. It will feature a vibrant program of cultural performances, musical shows, and traditional activities that highlight the deep-rooted ties between the two nations and showcase the rich heritage of the Pakistani community in the UAE. Notably, renowned Pakistani singer Ali Zafar is set to perform, adding to the festive atmosphere.
This celebration reflects the enduring friendship between the UAE and Pakistan, a relationship that dates back to 1971 when the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, laid its foundation. The UAE remains Pakistan’s largest trading partner and investor, with recent commitments of $10 billion in various economic sectors in Pakistan.
The UAE’s dedication to promoting international cooperation and tolerance, and fostering a harmonious environment where diverse cultures coexist, is evident in such events. These celebrations not only honor Pakistan’s independence but also reinforce the strong and growing relationship between the two nations
