PM announces 100,000 free laptops for students PM says distribution of laptops will cover all four provinces and will be based purely on merit, without any nepotism

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the distribution of 100,000 free laptops among talented students across the country on merit, during an International Youth Day event in Islamabad on Tuesday. Premier stated that the distribution of these laptops will cover all four provinces, the federal capital Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir, and will be based purely on merit, without any nepotism. He added that these laptops would be separate from the scheme for laptops through interest-based loans. Referring to Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, the prime minister mentioned that Pakistan’s victory on May 10 against a numerically larger and more boastful enemy had instilled a new vigour in the entire nation. He urged the youth to build on the spirit of this achievement and work hard to bring honour to the country. PCB unveils An Exciting Schedule For National Team

 


The schedule for the forthcoming matches of the Pakistan cricket team has been released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The squad will play a number of Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) against different teams in the upcoming months, according to the schedule that was made public Thursday, July 5, 2024. 

The itinerary includes Pakistan's much awaited October tour of Australia, when the team will play three Test matches, three ODIs, and one T20I. November will see a home series against England that consists of three Test matches and five Twenty20 Internationals.


Pakistan will visit New Zealand in December to play two Test matches and three One-Day Internationals. Following that, in January 2025, the team will return home to host a three-T20I and three-ODI series against the West Indies. In addition, the PCB has announced that it will host the Asia Cup in September, which would include teams from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. 

The forthcoming matches, which are sure to be thrilling and competitive, are much anticipated by the fans. The itinerary is susceptible to alteration depending on a number of variables, such as weather and logistical planning. Fans can feel secure knowing that the PCB is taking all necessary measures to guarantee their safety and the success of the matches.
