Pakistan Celebrates National Day in UAE with Diplomatic Reception

  The Embassy of Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) hosted a grand reception today to commemorate Pakistan's National Day, attended by members of the diplomatic corps, senior UAE government officials, Emirati nationals, and the Pakistani community. His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, alongside Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh. The event featured traditional performances, including the national anthems of Pakistan and the UAE played on traditional instruments. iCube Qamar, Pakistan’s lunar satellite, has sent the first picture from the orbit




The iCube Qamar was launched on board China’s Chang’e-6 from Hainan, China, on May 3.


According to the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), iCube Qamar entered Lunar orbit on May 8.


The satellite is equipped with two cameras, which is taking pictures of the moon from a distance of 200 kilometers.


The landmark images were unveiled at a ceremony organised at the China National Space Agency (CNSA) to mark the successful mission accomplishment, IST spokesperson and head of Department of Electrical and Computer Science, Dr Khurram Khursheed told.
