Peshawar University Announces Winter Holidays

  The University of Peshawar has officially announced its winter vacation schedule for the 2025–26 academic session. According to the notification, the university will remain closed from December 22, 2025, to January 3, 2026. During this period, all academic and administrative offices will be closed. However, the university has emphasized that all scheduled exams and tests will continue as planned, and students are advised to follow the existing academic timetable. University authorities stated that the winter break is part of the seasonal academic calendar and aims to give students and staff adequate time to rest and prepare for the upcoming term. Regular classes and administrative operations will resume on January 3, 2026.

Abu Dhabi, UAE - UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday, during which the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations and exchanged views on important regional and global matters.


According to the official WAM news agency, the phone discussion between the two presidents focused on ties between the UAE and France as well as ways to enhance cooperation across various fields. 


Under the leadership of Sheikh Mohamed and President Macron, the UAE and France enjoy strong partnership rooted in shared values of tolerance, openness and cultural diversity. The nations also collaborate closely on investment, energy, technology and other strategic sectors.


In their conversation, Sheikh Mohamed and President Macron reviewed the most recent regional and international developments of mutual interest. This likely included ongoing issues such as events in the Middle East as well as the geopolitical situation in Europe.


The regular engagement between the presidents reflects the importance placed on the UAE-French relationship. Both sides remain committed to strengthening understanding and pursuing joint initiatives that contribute to stability, progress and prosperity.


Friday's phone call underscores the steady high-level dialogue helping boost bilateral ties across political, economic and cultural dimensions. The comprehensive partnership plays a vital role globally and within the Middle East.
