PSL 9 to begin on Feb 17, Lahore to host opener


 Get ready for cricket excitement as the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League kicks off on February 17 in Lahore! The tournament will spread its magic across four cities — Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi — treating fans to thrilling matches until the showdown at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium on March 18.

Zaka Ashraf, PCB’s Management Committee Chairman, expressed the board’s commitment to bringing top-notch cricket to fans nationwide. The decision to host matches in multiple cities aims to boost excitement and promote cricket at the grassroots level.

Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will be buzzing with cricket action, hosting a total of 29 matches. Karachi takes the lead with 11 matches, including the all-important qualifier, eliminators, and the grand final.

The Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings clash on Feb 24 and Mar 9 promises an intense showdown. 

Multan Cricket Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host 14 matches in the first leg from Feb 17–27. The action then shifts to Pindi Cricket Stadium and National Bank Stadium, where 16 matches will keep fans on the edge of their seats from Feb 28 to Mar 12.
