As tributes pour in for the late Iranian commander Razi Moussavi, killed in an Israeli missile strike near Damascus, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issues a direct warning to Israel. The IRGC spokesperson, Ramezan Sharif, declares that Iran and its allied groups will take “direct” action to avenge Moussavi’s death.
Moussavi, a senior commander in the Guards’ foreign operations unit, the Quds Force, was targeted amid heightened tensions surrounding the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza.
