Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar visits the United Arab Emirates, shows the strong relationship between the two nations.
Welcomed warmly at Abu Dhabi’s Al-Bateen airport by UAE Justice Minister Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi and Pakistani diplomatic officials, the visit holds promise for the advancement of bilateral ties across various key sectors.
During the visit, PM Kakar is scheduled to meet UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed, solidifying diplomatic relations from November 26 to Nov 28. The Foreign Office(FO) expressed the visit as an opportunity to boost connections in political, economic, trade, investment, cultural, defense, and people-to-people relations.
A significant aspect of the visit involves the signing of memoranda of understandings (MOUs) between the two countries. These agreements cooperates in vital sectors such as energy, port operations, waste water treatment, food security, logistics, mining, aviation, and banking and financial services.
Moreover, PM Kakar is poised to advocate for Pakistan at the 28th Conference of Parties (COP-28) in the UAE on Dec 1-2. In a meeting, he directed authorities to ensure a strong presentation of Pakistan’s stance on climate finance and other issues.
This visit not only showcases the depth of collaboration between Pakistan and the UAE but also highlights their shared commitment to addressing global challenges, particularly in the crucial realm of climate change. As the two nations navigate this journey together, the strong bond between them serves as a testament to the enduring friendship that has flourished over the years.
