Is Trump’s Two-Week Timeline for Ending the Iran War Realistic?

The latest declarations from the White House have sent shockwaves through global markets, as President Donald Trump suggests the U.S. could wind down its military campaign against Iran within two to three weeks. However, as domestic petrol prices climb past $4 a gallon and the Strait of Hormuz remains a volatile chokepoint, many are questioning if this mission accomplished narrative is premature. The reality on the ground characterized by a lack of formal negotiations and a mowing the lawn military strategy suggests that ending this conflict will be far more complex than a simple withdrawal. The Stone Age Strategy: Defining the U.S. Military Objective President Trump has pivoted from seeking a diplomatic grand bargain to a strategy of pure attrition. By stating that a deal is no longer necessary, he has redefined success as the degradation of Iran’s capabilities to the point of being put into the Stone Ages. This shift signals an Israelization of American war aims, where the goal is n...

Senator Talha Mahmood's Hajj Ministry Making Strides in Ensuring Successful Hajj Operations

The Hajj pilgrimage is a significant event in the Islamic calendar, with millions of Muslims from all over the world flocking to Mecca in Saudi Arabia to perform the obligatory religious duty. The Pakistani government is responsible for organizing the pilgrimage for its citizens, and Senator Talha Mahmood has been leading the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony to ensure that the Hajj operation runs smoothly and efficiently.

When he assumed the role of Minister, there were no arrangements in place for the upcoming Hajj season. Urgent measures were taken to ensure that the operation could proceed, and the 2022 Hajj season saw thirty-four thousand pilgrims go under the government scheme, with forty-five thousand going under the private scheme. This successful operation was the result of the Minister's tireless efforts in ensuring that everything was in place for the pilgrims to perform their religious obligation with ease and comfort.

However, Senator Talha Mahmood is not yet satisfied with the current arrangements and is comparing them with the 2019 Hajj operations. He expressed confidence that any issues would be successfully resolved, although he may have to travel to Saudi Arabia again to ensure that everything is up to par.

The Minister is determined to hold accountable any Khuddam-ul-Hajj who evade their duty. He announced that such individuals would face a three-day TA DA deduction and, in the second phase, will be deported. Furthermore, he promised that if the promises made to the pilgrims were not fulfilled, the defaulters would be blacklisted.

The Minister acknowledged complaints about airline services and flight delays, noting that even the flight he travelled on was delayed by two hours. He has discussed this issue with airlines and promised to work towards its resolution. Senator Talha Mahmood has also warned that operators who fail to deliver on their commitments to Hajj pilgrims will face fines as well.

In conclusion, Senator Talha Mahmood's Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has been making strides in ensuring successful Hajj operations for Pakistani pilgrims. The Minister's efforts in organizing and overseeing the Hajj operations have been commendable, and he is committed to ensuring that any issues are resolved to ensure the comfort and convenience of the pilgrims. His focus on accountability and commitment to holding defaulters responsible is a promising step towards ensuring that future Hajj operations are efficient and successful.

During the recent court session, Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza stressed that Pemra should refrain from pressuring TV channels on the concerns raised by the petitioner. Surprisingly, Pemra's counsel, Haroon Duggal, stated unequivocally that there is no existing ban on broadcasting Imran Khan's speeches. This reso...
