Pakistan Pavilion Opens at Middle East Energy 2025

The Pakistan Pavilion was officially inaugurated at the 49th edition of Middle East Energy 2025, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 7 to 9, 2025. The event is recognized as one of the premier energy exhibitions in the region, attracting over 40,000 energy professionals and 1,600 international exhibitors. Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has accused the country’s opposition leader Imran Khan of hypocrisy in his shifting stance on the United States. Asif slammed Khan for “flirting” with America, despite having accused the US of conspiring against his government in the past.

Speaking at a press conference with foreign media, Asif criticized Khan’s political journey, which he claims began with a “cypher” and has now led to an SOS to the US. Asif was referring to a letter written to the US by Shireen Mazari, a member of Khan’s own party, seeking American help. The move has sparked criticism and raised questions about Khan’s true intentions.
